As Head of UX, I’m working on making sure that Cybersecurity is accessible for the 99%. Empathy isn't just a buzzword here - it guides every decision we make so that we design purposefully, relentlessly in the pursuit of our goal.
2018 - 2022Director of User Experience
Parsons
As Director of User Experience, I built a team focused on ensuring the ease of use, accessibility, and scalability of Parsons software products. Our core philosophy was to design software that met the needs of our users and requirements of our stakeholders. We accomplished this by using innovative user interface design, workflow analysis, journey maps, and user validation.
UX ACE Lead
Parsons built groups of highly skilled individuals that assist cross-company projects with their expertise. These groups were called “Advanced Communities of Excellence”, or ACEs. In addition of my responsibilities as Director, I had the honor of working as the UX ACE lead. As the ACE Lead, I assisted in the design of numerous projects, ranging from Cyber-focused to Smart City and Infrastructure software.
2017 - 2018Master’s of Engineering
University of Virginia
Graduate Researcher
Researcher in a professor-led lab for Human Factors and Cognition, focused on Augmented Reality User Interface Design.
A few highlights include:
Prepared scenarios conforming to Department of Transportation guidelines for Human Factors Research
Modified Driving Simulator using Unity game engine for research scenarios using C#
Research in Augmented Reality interfaces for use in Autonomous Vehicles using HoloLens headset
Designed Augmented Reality interface elements using Sketch
Graduate Teaching Assistant
I had an opportunity to assist my department as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Cognitive Systems Engineering course, which covers Human Factors and Interface design.
My responsibilities included:
Conducting office hours to assist students with tasking or research
Assisting the professor with grading
Occasionally leading the class as the lecturer
When I’m not designing…
I’m cooking
Especially pizza. Mostly because I like to eat pizza!

In 2020 (before COVID-19), I had a chance to visit Iceland! This is one of my favorite pictures.
